Our Alcove Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how users can request deletion of their Our Alcove account and associated data.
Delete Your Account in the App
Users can request account deletion directly in Our Alcove:
- Open Our Alcove.
- Go to Settings.
- Under Privacy, tap Delete my account.
- Confirm with the account password and the required confirmation phrase.
Deletion Timeline
Account deletion starts a 14-day deletion window. During this period, users can sign in and restore the account. After 14 days, deletion is processed and cannot be reversed.
Data Deleted or Anonymized
When an account is deleted, Our Alcove deletes or anonymizes data associated with the account, including:
- Account profile information.
- Email/account credentials.
- Private solo content.
- Saved personalization and advice memory data.
- Relationship and session data associated with the deleted account, subject to partner-account handling.
Data That May Be Kept
Some limited records may be retained where required for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, service integrity, or deletion audit purposes. These retained records are limited to what is needed for those purposes.
If You Cannot Access the App
If you cannot access Our Alcove, request deletion by emailing [email protected]. Send the request from the email address associated with your Our Alcove account when possible.
Request Deletion of Some Data Without Deleting Your Account
Our Alcove includes controls for some data, such as deleting eligible solo threads or discarding advice memory, without deleting the entire account. Users can also email [email protected] to request deletion of specific data associated with their account.
